Dear Mukesh,

In Sanskrit, an anusvar is always pronounced as a M, regardless of what
follows it. In Gujarati and other modern Indian languages, the anusvar's
pronounciation varies according to different rules. The rule you mentioned
about an anusvar being pronounced as a nasal (anunasika) is just one of
those rules. Hence, we have Paramahamsa.

Hello,
I am a beginner in learning sanskrit, residing in USA.
Could you please advise how i can learn reading writing sanskrit.
i had 11th grade study of my basic grammar, case & declensions


   - Are there universities in USA, or online university study from
   distance.
   - or CD & books that can be purchased for systematic study.
   - Do you know some great teachers
   - Are any of you one of the teachers.
