durga et all ,
i believe that there are many like me who joined this forum with the goal to
learn this language . we have the inclination and some virtuoso like you can
pave the path for us . i understand that its difficult to understand as vivid
as sanskrit to learn through e-assistance but at least you can try :-) .
Meanwhile , i dont wish to scuttle some serious discussion that you folks want
to indulge in to

I present myself for the task.... pls. guide me how to proceed.. I have keen
interest in the Bhagvadgita and the likes. I have translated Bhagvadgita,
although till now nothing of my translation is made public for the simple
reason that I need more time & space for further perfaction in my translation.
I know very well that the perfection will never come, yet we are here to move
towards perfection!! More I think on Bhagvadgita, more better becomes the
understanding!
I feel this opportunity of moderating & reviving the sanskrit mailing list will
help me in my task.
Waiting for your response..
best regards
D D Bhaiya

namaH sarvebhyaH,

(Also bcc'ed to the Campus Samskritam Network, an enthusiastic
youth group promoting sanskrit among univ campuses in the U.S.)

I am Sai Susarla, the maintainer of the Sanskrit mailing list based in the
University of Utah. I have graduated from the University of Utah back
in 2004, and moved to California and then to Bangalore India.

After a couple of years of not being able to keep the sanskrit mailing
list active due to getting busy with my other activities, I'd like to
someone else to step up to moderate and revive the sanskrit mailing
list. This list currently has 1486 members, which is quite a
sizeable number. I apologize for keeping so many Sanskrit lovers
worldwide from interacting via discussions due to my inability to
moderate the high-volume emails on a timely basis. It's time I step
aside and let the bhaashaamR^itam flow freely again.

If no one comes forward, I'd like to retire the sanskrit mailing list at
the Univ of Utah site.

Internet-based collaboration options have progressed enormously since
the Sanskrit mailing list started back in 1996. You can now create and
manage mailing lists and discussion groups much more effectively and
easily on public sites like yahoo and googlegroups to continue
discussions related to sanskrit.

All administration tasks for maintaining the existing list can be done
over the web interface, so it's easy. If someone has better ideas on
taking this group somewhere that uses better technology, I will help you
transition to it as well.

Please let me know.
bhavadiiyaH,
- Sai.
