This is my direct client opening for *IOC Operator - San Diego, CA. This is
a 3 month contract position*. Client is looking for local candidates due to
F2F Interview after the initial phone Interview. Client will also accept the
candidates who can attend the F2F Interview on their own expenses.
Short Description:
Network Operations Center Operator
Complete Description:
- 24 x 7 shift-based operational environments providing level 1-2 response
to alarms from network, servers, and application system errors. Works on
moderately complex assignments where judgment is required in resolving
problems and making routine recommendations.
- Monitors service and incident requests and assigns or resolves tickets as
appropriate.
- Work well with customers, peers, and management within functional areas of
IIT and/or IOC.
- Participates in formal on the job training in topics on the relevant
technology
- Follows IT standards and policies for workflow
- Engages vendors for onsite repair where applicable
- Provides Hardware Break/Fix solutions for technology assets where
applicable
- Technical escalation documentation and tracking
- Follows defined processes for workflow where recognizing deviation from
accepted practice is required.
- Completion of routine service and incident requests within Service Level
Objectives
- Develops strong cooperative relationships within the IT Tech Group and
with other support and IT Teams
- Consistently contributes knowledge and content to support organization and
shares knowledge with other techs to facilitate professional and technical
development.
- Provides after-hours level 1-2 support for incident resolution and service
request processes involving employees with technical problems and
information technology issues (desktop or laptop, network, workforce
productivity applications, business applications and telephony services.)
May be asked to provide backup remote IT support.
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures, using a
systematic approach, to complete assigned tasks.
- Applies basic scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Windows Command Shell, DOS,
Visual Basic, etc.)
- Shift is a 12 hour shift, rotating working 4 days one week followed by 3
days the next.
- Hiring for night shift (7pm - 7am)
- Hiring shift that is Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
- Must be able to work any shift as part of twice a year shift rotation
(rotations occur in July and January)
