Duration: long term Face to face interview is must Java Swing Developer - Job Spec Role: The role exists for a lead swing developer on Collateral Portal, our next generation suite of trader tools, working on a programme of work to roll out a Repo Trading system. Mandatory skills/knowledge: Ø Expert level experience in Swing programming. Ø 5 or more year's experience of development at an Investment Bank or similar experience. Ø Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate and JMS. Ø Database experience - knowledge of Oracle and Sybase, Unix and Perl scripting. Ø A motivated, inquisitive and innovative individual capable of assimilating the technical and business requirements desired by the trading and F2B community and developing solutions within the existing standards and frameworks. Ø Have an appreciation for the trading environment and applications required in the repo or similar business. Ø This role will require contact with a wide range of development team members and business representatives, the candidate must be confident and able to clearly discuss requirements and issues with all groups. Ø Capable of contributing to the delivery of high quality, high value change projects in a deadline-driven environment. Desirable skills/knowledge: Ø Experience of FI Repo trading systems. Ø Experience of the Agile development approach. Other: Ø This is an analysis and development role concentrating on Fixed Income Repo Trading and Trading Automation Systems. Ø This role is for a person who is capable of developing business-critical software in an environment that requires flexibility and high productivity. Ø A meaningful level of documentation will be required to support knowledge capture for the development team and GSD. Ø The environment is one that requires flexibility and high productivity.
