Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 10 or more years
database management experience. Description: Acts in the highest level
technical role in the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and
control of the organization's physical, relational, and object-oriented
databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Leads the
development of data architectures and database management policies and
standards. Provides expert-level consulting services in the identification
and resolution of highly complex database issues. Recognized as an internal
expert on database management issues. Leads the planning, design, and usage
of data resources. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced
staff.
The data modeling resource would perform tasks such as the following:
Align existing data models with production database
Complete definitions for all data model objects
Work with project teams to understand and implement data model
changes for platform enhancement and conversion projects
Generate data architecture deliverables for platform enhancement and
conversion projects
Generate DDL and DML and coordinate with the DBA to implement
designed updates to the database
Minimum 10 years previous Data Modeling experience. This resource would need
to be competent in using: CA AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler, Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel and typical office productivity tools and be able to
communicate effectively, both in written and verbal form.
Platform and Skill Set Expertise:
Database Administration: Oracle, Database Administration: SQL, Design Skills
& Tools : Erwin, Design Skills & Tools : Data Modeling
