Terms like "Extensive", "Strong" and "Expert" are a bit subjective. Non C#
programmers might consider me an expert C# programmer, while experienced C#
programmers would evaluate me differently. If possible I would prefer they
provide years of experience. That allows me to compare the candidates against
each other better.
I'm just trying to establish how many years of C++, WinForms, and InstallShield
this person had. And to determine if it was their main job to use those
languages, or just something they used for two weeks and never touched again.
Expressions like "Very good experience" are subjective and set off a red flag
for me.
Years of Experience & Expertise Level: 6+ years experience developing
commercial C# applications for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Project Description:
Debug and maintain software for the mobile wireless products using C# and C++.
Assist is debugging issues reported by customers.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Responsible for debugging issues found in next generation Intel wireless
software written in C# and C++ on a Microsoft* Windows* platform.
-Assist in supporting customers developing products using Intel wireless SDK
products.
- Create documents and/or presentations to assist in training customers
developing with Intel wireless SDKs
- Working with engineers, architects, other stake holders to determine
appropriate solutions
- Ensuring conformance to internal development guidelines and licensing
constraints
- Assisting debugging product installation issues.
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
- C# in Microsoft Visual Studio (3 years minimum)
- WinForms
- C++, SDK
- C
- Good documentation skills
- Good presentation skills
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
- InstallShield
- Experience with Wi-Fi and/or WiMAX standards
