The role would primarily consist in helping achieve the following priorities and answering the following questions. Priorities: 1) Establish end to end transaction flows 2) Help instrumenting Windows services. They disappear after showing up initially even though we put load on the system 3) Help instrumenting individual services exposed by 1 (Java WAS) server 4) Help providing meaningful alerting, emails, and resolution actions 5) Creating new and replacing existing baselines 6) Help building transaction list for all applications 7) Identifying and renaming components with generic names 8) Understand performance impact of TEST environment settings. Establish PROD settings 9) Build custom dashboards for real-time health views for interested parties 10) Exporting configurations across environment views where similar components/transactions exist on different servers/IP’s Questions: Specific answers or directions to URL documentation would be great. 1) If we expect other transactions to show up on our transaction list (which are not currently showing up), what do we enable to obtain these? What is the performance impact of enabling these services? 2) Is there a way to search summary descriptions from the error transaction to identify certain errors? If so, can we set up email alerts based on matching description search results? 3) How do we change the frequency of transaction snapshots? What is the performance impact of a transaction snapshots? 4) What are the performance impacts of: a. Adding HTTP Data Collector gathering to transaction snapshots b.
