Title: SAP Project Manager posted on 2014-07-29 15:06:42 Job Description:*Role: SAP Project Manager* *Location: Concord, CA* *Duration: 17 months+* The Project/Program Manager defines job requirements for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and implementing project and/or interrelated programs activities in a project/program office environment. The job progression identifies responsibilities ranging from providing support for small to medium projects to contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage development of strategic or tactical business plans • Plans, directs, and coordinates the team’s activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. • Determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans. • Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements; manages subcontractors. • Analyzes project progress/costs and facilitate the development of recommended alternatives. • Creates communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged key stakeholders. • Typically manages a project with a team size of around 15 FTE Education: PMP or formal project mgmt education Experience: At least 6 years of experience as a Project Manager Prior Chevron experience strongly preferred, applicants should include Chevron references in their application along with explicit descriptions of the projects they worked on and their role on the projects Experience implementing SAP module(s) strongly preferred, especially Finance (FICO) Archiving & Decommissioning experience strongly preferred Knowledge of retention policies and practices preferred Proven ability to facilitate and resolve conflicts among stakeholders with divergent perspectives Proven ability to manage a distributed team Knowledge of and fluency in CSOC behaviors and Chevron’s project waterfall methodology will be expected Prior change management experience a plus Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and stakeholder engagements skills Ability to create on one’s own effective presentations and project artifacts quickly and accurately Strong behavioral change management skills Ability to travel between Concord and San Ramon locations as needed Certification: PMP or formal project mgmt education strongly preferred Additional Comments: The objective of the SAP Archiving and Decommissioning project is to define a standard, holistic approach to update and enable SAP archiving and decommissioning projects. The project will deliver roadmaps that link the SAP Business Records to Chevron’s Document Retention Schedule to enable compliance. Road mapping includes both Productive SAP Systems and Legacy SAP Systems identified for decommissioning, including those identified for decommissioning before the Data Center migration in 2016.
