Team, I need a Mortgage Servicing Consultant for McLean, VA 7 month
Contract Bill Rate: $55/hour.
McLean team is seeking a consultant with Servicing Experience (Default
Servicing and/or Mortgage Insurance ) broad and deep experience,
understands control associated with servicing practices. Team is in Risk
Management in McLean. Perform 2nd line of defense for home loans and work
with investment side. Moving to more servicing platform, establish process
on servicing controls and areas of concern. Have remaining areas from a
claims perspective as well.
Work Environment: Want local person, 3 days onsite, 2 days off. (3-5 on
site pref). Will report to senior manager on team. Dynamic group, need
dynamic person.

Duration: 6-12 months, potential for conversion (McLean)
RATE: Looking at market rates within reason
Ideal Candidate: Work history started in actual servicing shop and worked
in loss and default area, and moved into risk position. Someone who can
work alone and with team, work on feet and show initiative to dig and find
solution with minimal direction. Default Servicing and/or Mortgage
Insurance. Knowledge processes in GSE segment, FHA is player in that
segment.
Degree highly desirable
Standard industry systems easily trainable, servicing and quality
experience, understand how to read servicing notes, etc.

Job Title: Servicing Consultant
Primary Location: Mclean, VA (may be open to Plano, but want
McLean)
Summary:
Problem Loans & Resolutions has the critical responsibility of managing the
repurchase of mortgage loans and resolution of mortgage insurance denials
and rescissions that breached our contractual obligations, identifying
self-reporting obligations for servicing related issues and defending
against inappropriate demands from various counterparties for servicing
related issues. The team is looking for an exceptional consultant who is
self-driven with strong communication skills, mortgage servicing knowledge
and experience. Specifically, the senior consultant should have experience
with the default servicing space. The candidate will work directly with
the team and Sr. Director on special projects related to mortgage
insurance, pool insurance, servicing and default management. Most
importantly, the candidate must enjoy working collaboratively with cross
divisional teams including the PL&R, Litigation, and Mortgage Analytics
Teams.
Requirements:
Review groups of loans with various high risk
characteristics related to Mortgage and Pool Insurance and Servicing Issues
Provide SME expertise in enhancing our servicing
self-reporting program to investors
Work with team to develop and apply framework for reviewing,
analyzing and recommending course of action
Clearly and concisely communicate recommendations for
decisions to management (director, Sr. Director and VP)
Adapt recommendations as needed based on feedback
Recommend and document new and/or updates to process in
order to better implement recommendations
Work with associates for implementation and follow-through
on recommendations and direction
Other duties as assigned
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
Bachelors degree
4+ years of experience related to Default Servicing and/or
Mortgage Insurance
Business analysis/management consulting background preferred
Strong Project experience in working independently and
problem solving
GSE (Government Sponsored Enterprise), specifically FHA
experience preferred
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to execute individually and as a team
Strong organizational skill
Ability to thrive in fast paced environment and successfully
juggle competing priorities
Thoughtful and methodical execution of corporate strategy
