Job Title: WebSphere Portal Senior Architect Location: Nassau County, NY Duration: 4-6 months Rate: $65 plus expenses *Location:*Nassau County, NY *Description Of Services: Purpose of Position* The IBM WebSphere Portal Senior Architect will be a lead architect of a B2B eCommerce team responsible for planning, designing and developing IBM WebSphere Portal solution that integrates Portal, IBM Connections, and WebSphere Commerce. The solution will support distributor and dealers as well as vendors, employees, and external customers. Responsibilities include conceptual design, architecture and topology, solution design and implementation. Candidate is expected to participate in gathering requirements, documenting and designing WebSphere Portal functionality and the related application integration and enhancements within the application. This includes support for application integration testing, integration development and cutover activities. *Required Skills* * Minimum of 8 years of experience in planning and implementing the IBM WebSphere Portal solutions * Minimum of 4 years of experience leading and coaching a team of architects and developers * Minimum of 2 years of experience managing user access and security for the portal using WebSphere Application Server and LDAP servers * Minimum of 2 years of experience with IBM Web Content Manager (WCM). * Minimum of 1 year of experience in web interface design * Bachelor Degree * Consulting experience *Qualifying Questions:* Do you have a Bachelors Degree? (Mandatory) Do you have 8 or more years experience with WebSphere Portal? (Mandatory) Do you have 2 or more years of direct experience with Webpshere Content Manager (WCM)? (Mandatory) Do you have any consulting experience? (Mandatory) *Nice to have Skills* * Experience deploying secure application functionality to distributor, dealers, vendors and employees * Experience with IBM Workplace Web Content Management and Workplace Forms, including modeling and workflow application analysis * WebSphere Portal 8 development skills using Rational Application Developer 8. * WebSphere Portal Modular Theme Design * Experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce Portal Integration. * Experience with IBM Connections. * Experience with IBM DDC. * WCM APIs (e.g. tag libraries, resource collections) * Web Content Integrator * Personalization APIs * Design and Development of Content Authoring and Presentation Templates * JSR 286 Web Content Viewer Portlet * JSR 186/286 Programming * Java EE 6 (J2ee) * Spring Framework 3.0 * Log4j 1.2 * Ajax and Dojo *Travel* * Regular and expeditious travel throughout the United States and occasionally overseas is required to meet client needs and timetables. * Available to be stationed at and work from an out-of-town client site for an extended period of time.
