*Position: *Application Developer *Location:* Birmingham AL *Duration:* Contract for 4 months Hourly rate : $40/hr REALMS is an internal term so they do not need to have this skill set The REALMS project lacks sufficient development resources to accomplish the project objectives. This position will be responsible for application development for the REALMS project. The candidate will work closely with an application development lead in the Risk organization. Position responsibilities and capabilities include: * Ability to produce technical requirements based on the analysis of business requirements * Work independently in software analysis, design and development; and, work as part of a team to design and write specific sections of program * Adapting a program to new requirements as necessary and devising possible solutions to anticipated problems * Plan and execute unit and assembly testing for all elements of program design * Support system and user acceptance testing as well as the implementation of the program into production * Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and applications * Experience with a software change management tool (i.e., Harvest, Serena, ClearCase) * Development in an object oriented programming language (i.e., C++, Java, Smalltalk) * Creating and updating MS Access Application The ideal candidate will have: * Object-Oriented programming experience * Software development experience including analysis and design per business requirements * Ability to produce detailed specifications and write program code * Oracle DB experience including creation of functions and stored procedures * Experience creating and updating Microsoft Access forms, queries and reports * Aptitude for Data Modeling and transforming data, transforming rules, understanding data extracts Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
