Position : Sharepoint Business Analyst Location: Chicago, IL Duration: at least 6 months. **Scheduling interviews ASAP Must have below skills: **Good communication **Experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 **This position is a BA implementing 2013 related projects Client is in search of an experienced Collaboration Business Analyst. The successful candidate will have experience delivering SharePoint solutions, support the facilitation of design sessions with clients and foster a team-oriented, collaborative approach. The Collaboration Business Analyst will have worked on solutions that focuses on “out of the box” features with SharePoint. Client SharePoint Consulting Services (SCS) team is currently in growth mode and we are seeking a Collaboration Business Analyst to assist our organization with implementation SharePoint 2013 related projects. Our current focus is on delivering business solutions to our partners using the suite of SharePoint capabilities. As a Collaboration Business Analyst, you will work in a collaborative environment in which knowledge is shared within and between teams. You will interview business users, gather and document system requirements, and help to steer solutions and designs to leverage Out Of The Box (OOTB) SharePoint features and functionality while meeting end user’s needs. What we are looking for: • BA to assist multiple business units with identifying specific requirements to create the appropriate information for building the appropriate SharePoint solutions. • Collaborate with SCS developers and project management teams from the design to the delivery of SharePoint applications. • Work with customers and project managers to gather both functional and technical requirements, assess current business and technology architectures, and make decisions around SharePoint strategy and implementation. • Understand when SharePoint is the right solution and when it is not and the ability to communicate this effectively. • Assist SCS team in translating business requirements into high level technical specifications • Coordinate and assist in system and user acceptance testing when applicable • Ensure Northern Trust SDLC process is adhered to with the business • It is also vital for your role as a Collaboration Business Analyst that you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and that you can convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to team members as well as individuals at all levels of the organization. You should also have a work style that is more process-oriented than task-oriented Job Requirements: Required Skills / Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years’ experience with SharePoint 2010/2013, understanding of OOTB features and when to apply them. • Minimum 4 years of technical leadership or management experience • Bachelor Degree in a technical field • Minimum 5 years related experience • Minimum 3 years’ experience, with particular focus on serving as a liaison between technical and business team members • Understanding of processes for a Banking Institution a plus Preferred Skills / Qualifications: • Experience guiding business units to consider process changes that can leverage OOTB features that may have a higher return on investment rather than developing custom solutions o Excellent organizational, time-management, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to provide collaboration leadership to multiple projects / teams. o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite o Experience creating documentation for development projects o Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business use cases, gather and document business and functional objectives o Deep understanding of information regarding enterprise content management features and SharePoint solutions Leadership and architecture experience and skills: • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. • Business analysis and business process understanding. • Strong ability to assist clients with business requirements for their SharePoint and Office System based solutions and create the appropriate information architecture, taxonomy and solution approach. • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of business both verbally and in writing. • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives. • Ability to lead complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuring, programming and unit testing for information worker applications based on Microsoft technologies. • Experience producing end-user and technical documentation. • Ability to work independently with users and executives to expand the use of SharePoint to address business issues. • Can help others in the organization with SharePoint knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function. • Ability to know when SharePoint is not the right solution for a business problem and can communicate this effectively. Technical SharePoint-specific experience and skills: • Must possess an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and SharePoint Designer 2007. • Knowledge must include architectural design, web parts development, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations. • In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence. • SharePoint experience must include SharePoint Designer workflows, effective use of the data view web part (DVWP), content query web part, data form web part, navigation customization, and some branding customization. • Web development experience (HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript) is required. • Experience with SharePoint templates (site templates, list templates, master page customization) is required. • Experience configuring and working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and SQL Server 2005 is required. • Experience with server installation, performance tuning is not required but valued.
