Immediate consulting opportunity for an experienced Digital/Mobile Application Developer in the Great Compatibility-Digital IT department for our Fortune 500 Client in the financial services and banking industry. The position is located in Wilmington, DE Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 5 Years' experience in Application development 1 Year experience as Senior Developer on IT Projects 2 Years' experience in Application Development using Java, JEE, Linux Strong analytic capability Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Strong oral and written communication skills Experience with multi-tier system design and implementation. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience In-depth knowledge of core Java, thread management. In-depth knowledge of web presentation methods (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) Experience with Spring Framework (Spring JDBC, Spring MVC, Spring JMS) a plus Experience in webservice development - SOAP and REST based services Experience in communicating with messaging platforms like MQ, JBoss etc using JMS API. Experience in JAXB, XML parsing a plus Experience in Weblogic OSB container a plus. Experience in Subversion Works with Version 1 and similar Agile tools, Source management systems with knowledge of how these manage code, affect quality and indicate overall sprint health Ability to write good agile stories, break down stories, plan details, identify use cases and scenarios, and create testable scenarios. Experience writing unit tests and using unit test mocking frameworks Knowledge of enterprise application design patterns. Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form Exceptional problem solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science 7 Years' experience in Application development 4 Year experience as Senior Developer on IT Projects Provides team or technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. Performs as technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components. Documents design decisions, adheres to existing process guidelines, develops software components, mentors junior developers, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production. Responsibilities: Converts specifications about business problems into programming instructions. Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system. Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
