*NOTE:Urgent Need Data Analyst W/ Healthcare -Dayton, OH - 6 months * *Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Dayton, OHDuration: 6 months * Right now, contract positions. Biggest thing is these individuals need to have Claims processing experience, specifically in Healthcare, and ideally with the Facets claim processing system. They also need to be able to logically think through data quickly. Additional information: Candidates must be non-smokers, Candidates must have Teradata experience, Candidates must have Healthcare experience. *Data Analyst Overview:* Analyze the data needs for the solutions needed by the Claims group to support the build out of functionality to enable them to address adhoc claims questions quicker. Top Required Responsibilities/Requirements: Facets claims processing experience, preferably in Medicaid. Excellent understanding of the SQL query language (Teradata experience a plus). Ability to understand and work through business requirements with the business and business analyst. This request is for a resource to help define the data needs in order to build solutions to fulfill the need. *Data Analyst Job Responsibilities:* Perform analysis of all data into, out of and within the Data Warehousing efforts. Identify and quantify data issues within the organization and assist in the development plans to resolve data issues. Support regular data management processes and ad hoc user requests. Monitor the quality of data submitted to regulatory agencies. Supports the verification of data accuracy within DSI Analytic Systems and source systems. Supports the maintenance of the Analytic Systems data dictionaries. Develop, document and perform testing and validation as needed. Assist in ETL development, documentation and testing as needed. Work with SMEs to develop business rules that support the transformation of data. Facilitate discussions between end users and data modelers as needed. *Data Analyst Job Requirements:* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years’ experience in data analysis or equivalent analytic experience Experience in data mapping preferred. Healthcare experience preferred. Proven understanding of database relationships. Proven programming skills with emphasis on mining/manipulation. Advanced MS Excel and/or Access. SAS experience preferred. SQL experience a plus. Communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Critical listening and thinking skills. Decision making/problem solving skills. Excellent customer service skills.
