Hi, How are you doing today? We are looking for an Oracle DBA - San Francisco, CA. This is a contract position - The rate is 40-50/hour. Job Description: The Database Analyst will be part of the Performance Test Group and will install, configure, patch, upgrade databases and binaries, execute performance testing, perform maintenance and control, for all pre-production performance test databases. You will also be responsible for the creation of new databases while supporting enhancements to existing Oracle databases. There will be a mix of in-house developed and vendor purchased software requiring database back-end support. This position requires problem identification and problem solving skills, particularly related to environment, build and management. You will serve as a key resource in optimizing database performance and be comfortable working with large, multi-terabyte databases; ability to optimize & parallelize migration of large databases Expertise with refreshing performance test environment from production databases and managing data requirements for performance testing.
