The incumbent will work under the guidance of the clients analytics team as
an individual contributor and as part of a team. This position will
supplement the internal data warehousing team and will be responsible for
remediating and developing SQL code to that generates views and data sets
for reporting.

Responsibilities include understanding current SQL code that needs to be
remediated, determining legacy source tables that are going to be replaced
with new source tables from Epic and remediating and retrofitting SQL code
that exists today so that it produce like results with new sources.
Candidate will interpret and adhere to specifications and standards, work
in a team development environment, leverage Dana-Farber best practices,
elegantly handle errors and ensure on time delivery of code.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Functioning as part of a broader team to remediate Enterprise Data
Warehouse
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile
conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
• Ensures that development solutions meet defined technical, functional,
and service level ýrequirements and standards
• Provides consistent quality in handoffs between development to deployment
and ýoperations while incorporating continuous process improvement and
feedback
• Remediate, develop and performance-tune SQL objects (statements and views)

• Execute unit testing of SQL code
• Participates in meetings, gathering requirements, discussing the issues
to be resolved.
• Acquire in depth impact analysis for projects assigned.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to
analyze information needs and requirements and raise any blockers or
concerns to project manager
• Work with project team and management to identify and document benefits,
costs and risks associated with solution alternatives, while balancing
stakeholder expectations regarding project timeline, cost, and scope.
• Develop test strategies and plans and works with technical team to
conduct system tests.
• Has responsibility for the security of medical and financial confidential
information.
• Communicate project status and prepare project administrative materials
as needed
• Provide quality customer service and serve as an exemplary representative
of Information Systems. On-going communication, feedback and follow-through
with customers/peers are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record, and have prior experience working in a complex
systems environment.
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work with hospital
staff at all levels.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands to successful
completion.
• Three years experience in SQL methodology in an enterprise tool set like
TOAD
• Experience in source systems analysis and data extraction from sources
including flat files and databases
• Experience in optimizing SQL
• Performance Tuning for SQL processes
• Hands on experience in working with Data Warehouse/Data Mart, Star
Schema, Snowflake Schema
• Experience in coding using SQL, Procedures/Functions, triggers and
Packages.
• Excellent communication skills, team player, ability to work individually
and meet tight deadlines.

• Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Shell Scripts, SQL, PL/SQL
• Oracle Designer, Reports, TOAD 10/9/8.x/7.x, SQL Loader, Erwin, PVCS VM
and PVCS Tracker, DBVisualizer.
• Windows and Sun operating systems
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong written
and verbal communication skills.
• Strong experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS),
and an understanding of relational database design.
• Ability to interact with people from all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of PC applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Project,
PowerPoint.
• Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable both in day-to-day
activities conducted in a multi-site environment.
