This is for my direct client opening *Oracle DBA – Taylor, Texas*. This is a *6 months contract* position. The hourly rate is *DOE*. * * * * *Project Description*: The main responsibilities are: Installs, maintains, monitors, and optimizes production and non-production databases (Oracle). Installs, maintains, monitors, and optimizes GoldenGate TDM, GoldenGate Veridata, and GoldenGate Director to support near-real-time data replication. *Essential Job Function: * -Perform database monitoring, tuning, &capacity planning -Perform backup/recovery -Optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance, and cost -Manages allocated disk space usage and memory allocations for database management systems -Manages schema changes and implementations -Administers database security -Performs housekeeping on defunct user accounts and historical data -Install and maintain database products, including patch application and upgrade of environments -Troubleshoots and develops solutions for problems related to database and interfaces -Coordinates with software vendor technical support -Develops and executes back-up and recovery procedures -Performs periodic testing of the database backup and recovery plan -Works closely with application and system administration and vendors to coordinate activities, resolve development and maintenance issues, and perform application tuning -Audits user activity to ensure integrity and performance of the database -Establishes standards, policies, and procedures for database administration -Coordinates and implement changes to development, test, and production environments -Implements and maintains multiple database environments, including logical/physical design and modeling -Develops and maintains proficient database development and design skills -Performs GoldenGate replication monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning -Performs backup and recovery of GoldenGate replication -Administers GoldenGate replication security -Install and maintain GoldenGate products, including patch application and upgrade of the environments -Establishes standards, policies, and procedures for GoldenGate replication administration -Performs other duties as assigned *Required Experience: * -Minimum of 3 years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible information technology work experience with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment. -The candidate needs to have strong experience in Golden Gate to be successful. -The candidate must have strong experience in :RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM. *Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume. * Full Name: Degree Major: Total IT Experience: Total Oracle DBA exp: Total Golden Gate exp: Total exp with with various database management systems in database design: Total exp in in :RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM: Total exp in testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment: Hourly rate: Day Phone #: Evening Phone #: Cell Phone #: Availability: Current City/State: Work Status (US Citizen / Green Card / Others): Have you applied recently for this requirement earlier through any one else?
