Looking forward to hear from you... *Role: Dot Net Support Engineer* *Location: Wichita, KS* *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate: $/hr on C2C All Incl.* *Summary:* · This is an on-call rotation role - Level II Support - *C#.NET & VB6 experience* - Strong customer oriented individual to support multiple systems/multiple locations. · This position is responsible for the support of multiple Plant Floor Systems. This role responds to support tickets placed by 40+ manufacturing and warehouse locations in North America and resolves issues either directly or by elevating to correct support group. In addition to support, this position will have the opportunity to develop small enhancements to existing software. · 70% - Provide application support / incident management of issues for a wide variety of internally developed applications. Which includes: participating in a 24X7 on call rotation, working with the facility personnel to resolve issues, involving subject matter experts when needed to solve issues, and helping end users of applications with application training issues. · 20% - Making small functional enhancements to current applications as needed for the business. · 5% - Working with others in the support department to learn systems, infrastructure environment, coding techniques, and other technical subjects. · 5% - Establish relationships with business partners and development team members to develop a good understanding of the business areas and manufacturing processes. *Other Requirements:* · Ability to Travel to facilities and/or formal training locations. - 5% · Work in plant environment on occasional work assignments. · Work additional hours on occasion to deliver projects on time schedule. · Be part of ""ON Call"" support rotation that includes nights and weekends. *Required Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or I/T related program, OR a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years application development /or support using object-oriented programming language like Microsoft .NET (or equivalent). · Familiarity with programming languages required for support like VB6 and C#.NET. · Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills to debug applications across multiple coding languages. · Can identify design flaws and suggest corrective actions. · Has good knowledge on how to set up PC’s, Scan Guns, and Barcode printers. · Basic understanding of TCP/IP network communications and routing. · Able to trouble shoot problems with connectivity and use of applications. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment. · Strong customer service phone skills to deal with critical support issues. *Preferred Qualifications:* · Experience using Oracle data bases. · Experience and knowledge of network topology and UNIX, Linux, or Windows server systems. · Experience coding and designing software using object oriented design concepts. · Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete data and under tight deadlines. · Ability to quickly cut through complex issues and choose best solutions and course of action. · Ability to multi-task with good time management and proper work prioritization. · Ability to perform root cause analysis.
