Enforce enterprise-level application development standards (APIs, development patterns, documentation standards, etc.) within Enterprise systems. Partner with Service Delivery and Technology Delivery groups to define and maintain application architecture blueprints (current and future state) Resolve application and data architecture issues and engage Enterprise Systems leadership for high priority issues and decisions Create and maintain an end-to-end view of the application portfolio and connectivity maps across Enterprise Systems to inform application design and also identify standardization opportunities and support IT investment decisions Identify leading technology trends and their applicability to Enterprise Systems Evaluate & document current architecture Define strategy for legacy integration initiatives Incorporate SOA principles into enterprise architecture design, including identifying opportunities for common services and service reuse Develop, improve, validate, and use tools to facilitate enterprise architecture efforts Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in global distributed computing environments across the project lifecycle Consult with infrastructure project teams to fit infrastructure to architecture. Conversely identify when it is necessary to modify the application architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way non-technical people understand without being condescending Subject matter expert across multiple technologies, architectures, and business applications with special emphasis on application/systems inter-dependencies High energy and drive.
