Hi, This is my direct client opening for *Senior Security Engineer- Alexandria, VA. This is a 6 months contract to hire *position. The *hourly rate and salary range is DOE*. * * *Project Description*: * * *Education*: Must have a Bachelors degree in an IT related field. Masters degree preferred. Clearance: Minimum of DOD Secret clearance or should be able to obtain DOD Top Secret clearance. *Job Description: * Client is seeking experienced Senior Security and Software engineer to join their product development team. Ideal candidate should be a seasoned security engineer with experience building security in from the ground up with hands on exposure to penetration testing and use of various security oriented tools. Must be team/people oriented, a self-starter, and independent problem solver. Job responsibilities: collect software security enhancement requirements from end users; design, document, develop, test and deploy new enhancements; debug and correct software errors;; apply company standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle; and adaptability and flexibility to change via a continuously evolving environment. Mentoring a staff of developers in the technical aspects of security will be expected. *Required Skills:* -Experience in utilizing penetration testing software and performing penetration testing. (Eg. Hailstorm, Fortified, Nessus, Newt, ThreatGuard, etc.) -8+ years of Java/Java Server Pages/Java Server Faces, J2EE, C/C++. -8+ HTML and JavaScript. -Strong pen testing experience -Must have Java security coding experience -Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g on Windows Server. -Experience in SQL (querying and writing) and JDBC on Windows Server. -Experience with AJAX, Flash, JavaScript, XML, Web Services. -Experience with Apache and Tomcat. -Experience in designing, planning, deploying and troubleshooting issues in highly-scalable, highly-redundant environments. -Experience in software best practices (eg.
