The person will *design, develop, implement*, and maintain *large Oracle enterprise databases*. Setup and implement *backup/recovery* and security strategies. *Monitor* the performance of databases and make tuning changes. Recommend physical database change, such as join and secondary indexes, partitioned primary indexes, to improve performance. *Monitor* interfaces/processes responsible for updating various *ERP* systems to insure data consistency and availability. Oversee ongoing system capacity planning, forecasting, and tuning. Manage storage to determine when additional space would be required. Perform research, prepare technical studies, and makes technical recommendations.
