The Applications Development Directorate is responsible for developing and
maintaining applications to support the business functions of the OIG.
*Section I: Position Description*
· Serve as a Mobile Application Developer in the USPS OIG Application
Development Directorate
· Assist in Strategy to successfully introduce mobile technology into the
OIG Environment
· Design and Engineer secure mobile applications based on iOS platform
· Support the development of new applications specifically for iPhone/iPad
· Be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle:
assisting with architecture, design and development, user experience,
documentation, unit testing, delivery, and maintenance
· Implement innovative solutions and technologies in designing and
developing new OIG mobile apps
· Design and implement solutions to push internal enterprise applications
out to mobile devices
· Coach and mentor other developer(s) in Mobile development
*Section II: Position Requirements*
*Primary Requirements:*
· Experience in working with latest iOS version and developing iOS
applications on the front end
· Experience in utilizing emerging web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and
web fonts
· Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and team
oriented individual
· Capable of working independently as well as an effective team member on
projects
· Ability to offer constructive feedback in requirements and design
· Possession of excellent analytical and problem solving/debugging skills
· Bachelor Degree or above in an Engineering or technical field
*Section III: Experience*
Minimum of 3 years Mobile Application experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience working on web based development projects
