*Job Description:*
Client is currently re-tooling the POS application they provide to their
clients (including CVS, Walgreens, Bass Pro, etc.). They are in need of 3
new Java Developers with at least 5+ years of experience.
*DESIRED EXPERIENCE:*
· At least 5+ years of Java development experience
· Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate
· Moderate knowledge of retail/ point-of-sale (POS) applications
· Back-end database experience with DB2, MySQL
· Code applications, prepare test data and define test cases
· Provide application support in the areas of both end-user problem
resolution and production system operation.
· Requires solid understanding of supported business processes.
· Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
*GENERAL FUNCTION:*
· Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by
creating new and modifying existing software applications.
· Coordinates with users to determine requirements.
· Codes, tests, debug documents and implements complex software
applications.
· Responsible for analysis, design, coding and testing of new
applications or enhancements to existing applications using Java-based
technologies.
· Interface with project managers, business analysts, quality
assurance and deployment teams.
· Troubleshoot production issues and provide developer support for
new application releases.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *
· Analyzes, codes, tests and documents complex enhancements made to
new and/or existing programs.
· Designs, codes, tests and implements application programs in
accordance with client specifications.
· Oversees the advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution
functions for software products.
· Interprets business requirements and identifies solutions to meet
business objectives.
