[Extension highly possible] Only for Citizens Job Description: Responsibilities: The System Administration Partner team is led by a Team Lead who will oversee a team of subject matter experts organized categorically into areas of specialization. This allows each specialized team member to focus their energies on specific tasks more efficiently. Each member, however, must have sufficient knowledge in all other areas of expertise to effectively assist and support another team member when required. This team dynamic will allow each specialist to concentrate on their individual craft while having the capability&nb sp;to&nbs p;meet varying technical demands that may fluctuate during the lifecycle of a project or release Required Qualifications: Each member of the System Administration Partner team must at a minimum, be able to perform the following functions. 1. Understand and embrace the lean and agile software development principles. 2. Ability to work in a Scrum framework and an outstanding communicator and team player. 3. Must work efficiently in both an individual and group setting, understanding that they serve dual roles, both as a contributor and support. 4. Superb troubleshooting, problem determination and resolution skills required. 5. Proficient in UNIX as an Operating System and a scripting language; specifically Linux and its variants. 6. Fundamental UNIX System Administration; including, but not limited to installing, upgrading and managing Linux Operating Systems; namely RHEL5 and above. 7. Familiarity with Virtual Machine concepts and technologies, with the ability to quickly learn the fundamental skills required to setup, tear down and clone VMs under various hypervisor variants. 8. Proficient in installation, management and configuration of Java Application Middleware; specifically Red Hat Jboss Enterprise Advanced Platform. 9. Proficient in Apache Web Server setup, installation and administration, including advanced concepts such as web server load balancing and failover. 10. Knowledge and understanding of Relational Database Management System concepts; especially in the Oracle Database product line. 11. Fundamental understanding of enterprise networking concepts; including LAN internet work switching and routing, Virtual LANs, Firewalls for both copper and fiber networks. 12. Understand differing hardware specifications, technologies and their capabilities; from the micro level such as Processing Units (CPUs), Memory, Storage to the macro level such as multi-geographical computing platforms. 13. Comfortable with transporting, handling, racking, stacking, wiring and powering hardware components; including rack mounted blade chassis, servers, switches, networked storage (SAN/NAS/DAS). JBoss Specialist Additional Skills: Provides subject matter expertise for JBOSS and Jon Administration. 1. JBOSS, JON administration with ActiveMQ knowledge on Linux environment. 2. Must have expertise in installing, configuring and monitoring JBoss AS7 standalone or cluster, JON and Active MQ. 3. Manages the daily operation of JON and JBoss application Server. Should have expertise to tune performance of the application server. 4. Excellent knowledge of JON, JBoss stacks which includes installation, diagnostics and Tuning. 5.
