Coordinate with project team members and engineers during project design and assembly . Use AutoCAD 2011E and AutoDesk Inventor 2011 to document electrical design to be used by assembly and customers . Help ensure that procedures and standards are followed . Archive documentation . Leverage automation tools to improve design process . Maximize use of standard designs . Meet schedule requirements . Support project meetings as required . Respond to assembly department requirements . Program Laser Cutter . Create Excel Wire Label Lists from AutoCAD Desired Characteristics - . Good written and verbal communication skills. . Proficient with AutoCAD 2011E and AutoDesk Inventor . Proficient in use Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and file management. . Solid understanding of standard design and drafting practices. . Minimum 2 years design experience (optional if applicant has other GE experience). . Good knowledge of mechanical & electrical system design. . Highly motivated self-starter. . Works well in a team environment. . Familiar with GE Power Systems document management tools (SAP / SAP PLM / Energy PLM) and policies. . Understand basic BOM principles and practices . Familiar with Power Generation Industry. .
