Position:  ServiceNow Developer and Admin

Location:  Palo Alto, CA

Duration:  12+ Months. [Extension highly possible]



Job Description:

The role would be for configuring and setting up Service-now ITSM
application and administer, maintain and support the implementation.
This person will work very closely with ITSM Architect, customer
personnel, IT Architect, IT support teams and other technical teams to
ensure that business needs around implementation of ITSM processes and
ServiceNow (Service-now.com) in a controlled and predictive manner.



The general scope of the work for this position is as follows:

● Understands technical and functional design requirements for ServiceNow

● Understands the workflow engines

● Creates workflow and web prototypes for client engagements

●
Designs, codes, and tests technical solutions for ServiceNow implementations

●
Uses Mid server, webservices, email and other relevant technology to
integrate tools with ServiceNow.

● Identifies system deficiencies and recommends solutions

●
Maintaining and administering the implemented instance of ServiceNow
and perform tasks such as:

1. Configure Users, company, site, location and other existing fields

2.
Configure Support Groups, assignment rules, categorizations, CI data, SLA etc.

3. Create and Track support cases with ServiceNow

4. Template creation, change order/task/activity

5. Troubleshooting the ServiceNow instance issues

Assists in enforcement of development deadlines and schedules

● Understands the necessity of and contributes to coding standards

● Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.

● Contributes appropriately to conversations.

● Assumes additional responsibility without being asked.

Qualifications:

● IT or Web programming related educational background

● The candidate should be trained in ITILv3 foundation certified

●
Service-now trained with prior experience in at least 1
deployment/administration of ServiceNow implementation.

●
At least 3-5 years of IT experience in development/support/analyst
positions in Service Management tools such as BMC Remedy, HP SM, BMC
Remedy on Demand

● Experience with JavaScript, XML and XSL stylesheets

● Able to Read and understands XML schemas

● Understanding of Software as a Service  (SaaS)

● Understanding of client server architecture

● Understanding of SOA and Web Services concepts

●
Should have prior experience in integrating tools in ServiceNow or
other similar tools using MidServer, webservices, email etc..
