Sr. Portal J2EE Developer

The Senor Developer is likely to spend about 60% of his/her time on
application development projects and 40% on application support (i.e.
troubleshooting, RCA, environment maintenance, or improvement initiatives).
The role has the following responsibilities



• Act as technical lead on enterprise application engagement that contains
multiple threads of development.

• Work with multiple teams, different tracks, developing POC’s, assisting
with hands-on coding.

• Work with clients to define an enterprise-wide technology approach that
encompasses multiple systems and various integration points.

• Work effective with client management team to identify, estimate,
prioritize, and resolve issues

• Should be able to work with offshore team to deliver the projects and
complete the support activities.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in a complex application
stack.

• Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and will have exceptional
writing and communication skills.

• Demonstrated a record of managing and maintaining large scale deployments
of portal and collaborative solutions.

• Ability to work closely with system and network administrators to manage
portal and collaborative application deployments.

• Willingness to mentor junior resources and other team members on need
basis for technologies.

• Ability to operate effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment issues resolution.

• Ability to understand network issues.


Required Skills:

• Expertise with B2B, B2C & B2B2C architecture/systems.

• Experience in working with full project life cycle management for both
waterfall and agile.

• Sound knowledge and experience with J2EE/ Web development n-tier
architectures, various web development frameworks (SPRING, JSR, JSF,
STRUTS)

• Real hands on experience with developing Java/J2EE based
