*Location: Fargo, ND* *Rate: DOE (Only USCs n GCs)* The Technical Writer’s role is to develop written information about the organization’s computing systems that aid in their development, use, and support. Outputs will include a range of documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all departments. Develops, publishes and maintains reference language for security, disaster recovery policies, procedures and training manuals. Researches and analyzes impact of changes on existing language; recommends interpretive language solutions. Develops documentation of new and current processes and training materials. *Duties and Responsibilities* · Develops and edits technical reference materials. ·Consults with client management and end users to determine impact on existing guidelines and procedures, identifies inconsistencies, and recommends language solutions. · Controls supporting documentation placed on file for historical reference; checks in and out borrowed information and retrieves materials. · Facilitates user group meetings to review proposed documentation for clarity and application. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems.
