*IPT Engineer Position Details:*

·         The Internet Protocol Telephony (IPT) position will assist in the
plan, design, and implementation of Cisco IPT networks.  A competent
self-starter well versed in the newest trends in Cisco IPT solutions and
implementation, the architect also undertakes complex projects requiring
specialized knowledge of said technologies. The engineer will work with
customers to determine, document, and translates business requirements into
clear and concise technical specifications.

·         Provides integrated systems planning, often coordinating multiple
projects toward a common enterprise goal. Acts as a resource for direction,
training, and guidance for less experienced staff. Accountable for the
development of conceptual solutions architecture and responsible for
developing detailed communications architecture and designs for solutions
based on the conceptual architecture. Must have the ability to work with and
coordinate multiple vendors and customers.



*Responsibilities*

·         Works within the data center infrastructure domain to research,
evaluate, and properly introduce new Cisco unified communications
technologies as standards into the enterprise while adhering to, and
mentoring others on proper use of new technologies.

·         Works closely with the operations, project management, and account
management teams to understand client business requirements to develop the
Cisco IPT solution.

·         Challenge existing IT paradigms where appropriate



*Qualifications*

·         Implementation, and maintenance of Cisco VoIP environments

·         Maintain technical role certifications in support of VoIP, Unified
Messaging, Unified Communications

·         Develop and maintain ongoing QoS and other network designs and
parameters in coordination with Network Engineering.

·         Ensure the stable and reliable connectivity of all networked
systems.

·         Circuit Provisioning

·         Provide and maintain architectural documentation of
telecommunications infrastructure

·         Demonstrates proficiency in core networking technologies to
include:

·         Core and Edge

·         Level 2 & 3 Routing

·         Quality of Service

·         Class of Service

·         Demonstrate strong troubleshooting experience and an understanding
of networking and Cisco internet protocol telephony (IPT) technology.

·         2-3 years of experience working with installing, configuring,
supporting:

·         Cisco Call Manager

·         Cisco Unity

·         Cisco Routers, Switches (6500s, 3750s)

·         Cisco Voice gateways, 2800s, 3800s, VG224.

·         Cisco IPCC Express, Cisco Call centers, IPCC Scripting



*Preferred:*

   - Cisco Presence
   - Cisco Meeting place/Meeting place Express
   - Cisco Mobility Manager, Mobility Advantage
   - Presales experience with Cisco IPT products.
   - Cisco TelePresence



*Requirements:*

   - Expertise in installing medium to large sized IPT networks for Fortune
   500 customers.
   - A minimum of 5 years experience working in a mixed environment with
   hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and integration of
   complex Cisco IPT environments.
   - Hands on experience in design, integration, performance tuning, and
   migration of large IPT environments
   - Expertise in logical and physical IPT design layout.
   - Experience in development of standards, best practices and industry
   leading solutions in a highly dynamic environment.
   - Experience in supporting legacy TDM PBX Environments.
