This is for my direct client opening for *Teradata DBA - Chicago, IL*. This is a *6* *months Contract* position. The Hourly rate is *DOE*. *Project Description*: *Requirements:* · - 5+ years experience as a Teradata DBA · -Hands-on experience as Teradata DBA with in-depth understanding of designing, implementing, maintaining, managing, and performance tuning Teradata databases including BAR solution for backups. · -Understanding and ability to communicate principles and design tradeoffs for a mix of Teradata databases, data warehouses, and pre-packaged software analytics · -Ability to mentor and train others to be capable Teradata DBAs · -Experience implementing, managing, and performance tuning any or all of the following software packages on Teradata platform preferred (not required) -Siebel -CRM Analytics -PeopleSoft -EPM Analytics -Hyperion Financial Manager (consolidation software) · -Experience implementing and tuning DataStage ETL software preferred (not required) · -Experience with Teradata's Manufacturing Logical Data Model preferred (not required) *Job Duties:* Assist in design, implementation, management, and performance tuning of new Teradata environment; mentor and train others (Navistar employees) to be capable Teradata DBAs; Mentor and train others in Teradata database design principles to help them understand tradeoffs in mixing Teradata databases with data warehouses and pre-packaged software analytics (such as Siebel and PeopleSoft) *Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume. * Full Name: Degree Major: Total IT Experience: Total Teradata DBA exp: Total exp in implementing, managing, and performance tuning: (Please mention the software packages) Total exp in implementing and tuning DataStage ETL software: Total exp with Siebel: Total exp with CRM Analytics Total exp with PeopleSoft: Total exp with Teradata's Manufacturing Logical Data Model: Hourly Rate: Day Phone #: Evening Phone #: Cell Phone #: Availability: Current City/State: Work Status (US Citizen / Green Card / Others): Have you applied recently for this requirement earlier through any one else?
