*Title: GIS IT Developer * *Location: Tulsa, OK/ Houston, TX/Pittsburgh, PA.* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Rate: $55/hr - $60/hr on C2C* *2 Openings * The position will be responsible for design, development, and testing for GIS applications. Key areas of experience for this candidate include a working knowledge of GIS and ESRI products. *Key responsibilities include:* - Design, develop & implement solutions using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Portal. - Experience using ArcGIS for Server geoprocessing services, including developing Python scripts. - Ability to create intuitive user interfaces and tools that will appeal to both novice and expert users of geospatial applications. - Provide solid effort estimates by reviewing business requirements and software specifications. - Participate in internal discussions about design approaches and cost estimates for new projects. - Provide technical collaboration within a wider virtual team to ensure projects stay on schedule. - Establish and maintain strong, healthy relationships with business partners. *Competencies* - Works independently with minimal guidance. - Capacity to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. - Ability to solve complex problems and visualize new perspectives on existing solutions to improve performance, efficiency and safety. - Ability to interpret internal and external customer needs. Can assess requirements and identify responses to non-standard requests. - Can articulate difficult issues and work to build consensus with internal and external peers in customer, vendor or regulatory organizations. - Experience with project management concepts, requirements gathering and documentation, PLC, and testing. - Ability to produce quality functional and technical documentation. *Job Qualifications/Technology Requirements* - Possess specialized, in-depth knowledge and experience with ESRI products and the area of GIS. - Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred - Experience and proficiency with Application Development using Silverlight, .NET (C#, ASP), Flex, REST, Map/Web Services, GIS/Geospatial processing tasks, Python, ArcSDE, ArcServer, ArcObjects, Google Earth, SQL, Java, JavaScript - Ability to utilize a broad range of tool sets to support multiple applications (including SharePoint, Oracle, Microsoft Office products, SQL Server) - Must be a self starter with the ability to work in a team environment - Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines as necessary - Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers - Degree in Mathematics, MIS or Computer Science preferred - 4-6 years related experience in business application development -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
