Hi, This is for my direct client opening for *Websphere Architect - Long Island/NY*. This is a *12 Months Contract* position. *Project Description*: -Analyze and understand user requirements, design solutions for those requirements and write specifications -Design applications using Java (design, programming, implementation and unit testing) -Participate in code reviews - Provide accurate estimates of assigned task effort for inclusion in project planning -Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software -Share knowledge and information on new technologies with the other team members *Skill Requirements*: -WebSphere * Multiple Websphere product experience is a must (Application Server, MQ, MQSI) -Understand and architect solutions on websphere platform involving multiple websphere products. -Proficient in the administration of Websphere Application Server ND versions 6.1. -Highly proficient with Unix variant operating systems. (AIX, Solaris, Linux) -Ability to evaluate, install, test, configure, maintain, monitor performance of and troubleshoot WebSphere applications. -A good understanding of concepts related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts. -Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.(Unix, Networking, DMZ, Firewalls, J2EE, Web and Application Servers) -UNIX scripting skills.
