Position : COMMUNICATIONS PM - PHARMA Location: Upper Gwynedd, PA Length: 3/2010 Rate: $45/hr Max Strong skills are required in the following areas: Publication planning, strategy and implementation. Must have familiarity with current issues in medical publication field. Strong understanding of customer service, written & verbal communications, and negotiation. Ability to provide leadership in team settings; Requires basic knowledge of the science behind products for which incumbent provides support. Degree required: BS and 12-16, MS and 10-15, or PhD and 3-6 years of experience in publication management or related areas - experience in the pharmaceutical field is preferred. *Responsibilities:* Applies scientific knowledge, publication/marketing experience, and highly developed interpersonal skills to facilitate the creation and on-time completion of high-quality peer-reviewed publications. Interacts with people on all levels both within and outside the Company (including external writing support). Specifically, track and report the progress of publication development, provide expert guidance on journal selection and coordinate resources for writing, editing, formatting and submitting articles to peer-reviewed scientific journals and scientific conferences. Interacts with other departments (Clinical Research, Marketing, etc) to coordinate development of publication plans and prioritize papers and presentations.
