Title: Sr. Software Engineer Location: East Haven, CT Duration: 12+ Months Contract Education and Previous Experience: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development • 8+ years of overall experience. Knowledge & Skills: • Required languages: o 8+ years of experience in Core Java (including Generics),J2EE, o 4+ years in hibernate and ANT. o 5+ years of experience XML and XSLT o 4+ years of experience in Unix shell scripting with BASH and KSH shell, AWK and GAWK • Relational database: o 4+ years of experience in Oracle/Postgres, database DML, DDL and co-ordination with DBA for monitoring database • Required Operating Systems: 2+ years of experience in Unix, Linux environment (no GUI), all aspects of the programming, scripting, ability to work with ssh, vi/emacs • Web servers: o 4+ years of experience in Apache Tomcat o 1+ years of experience in Apache HTTP server and its administration with the knowledge of cache, memory cache, rewrite and redirect rules; • 3+ years of experience in source version tools SVN with deep knowledge of SVN external properties, branching and merging.
