*System Integration Test Engineer* *6+ Months* *Chicago, IL* *Rate: $50/hr on C2C* *5 Openings!!!* System Integration Test Engineer working with an internal test team, development team, IT team, and operational team to implement acceptance testing of ABS System components to validate end to end system level functionality. · Work closely with development and test engineers to understand various OSI protocols product features. · Design, develop and execute test cases that validate product features. · Produce documentation for test strategy and test cases. Report status and gather related metrics. · Learn new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products. · Using Linux scripting, evaluate production logs for finding any abnormalities/defects and generate reports to isolate the issues. · Passion for delivering high quality software *Responsibilities:* · Partner with other cross functional teams (Development, QA-IT, and Operation) to coordinate daily test activities to ensure test commitments are met. · Provision AN-AAA, BH-AAA, PDSN and Aircard parameters using QXDM/QPST. Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze CDMA/EVDO Rev A network, KPI Counters and various voice and data call flows. · Coordinate all certification activities with FAA for respective projects. · Develop test strategies/methodologies, cases, and procedures based upon approved requirements and designs. · Create, implement, maintain and ensure compliance to test policies, methodologies, standards and best practices. · Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using test plans and functional specifications for IFE and IFC solutions. · Plan, schedule, and conduct all phases of testing - Integration/System Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Acceptance Testing, Verification and Validation, etc. · Perform both new functionality and regression tests and identifies, analyze and report issues using “HP Quality Center/Test Director” defect tracking tool. Generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports. · Identify and coordinate the creation and maintenance of relevant test environments and infrastructure. · Must be able to write white papers/Service Bulletin, and MOPs for airline partners. · Provide technical feedback during Data Design/ Requirements/Service Bulletin reviews and provide presentations to various customers as well as others cross functional teams. · Manage a continuous process improvement program within the team. · Reproduce and verify defects in lab as well as in the field. · Troubleshoot issues by evaluating log files, reports, MySQL data base and packet capture. · Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities *Requirements:* · Knowledge of software development lifecycles, test methodologies, test case identification/development, and test execution. · Over 5 years of CDMA/EVDO network provisioning analyzing experience, including PDSN, AAA, BSC, BTS, Cisco Routers, and IBM Tivoli suites. · Working knowledge on application servers like JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat/Apache, Candidate must have at least four of software testing experience · Experience with IP networking and Linux operating system · Experience with at least one script language is mandatory · Experience validating system software; developing test cases, executing test cases, both manual and automated. · Excellent investigation, troubleshooting and analytical skills to be able to isolate the software issues. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with date-driven schedules. · Ability to work independently and manage priorities . · Some background in Java will be a plus. · Excellent verbal and written communications skills. · Detail-oriented with attention to product quality. · Experience with various mobile devices/internet browsers. · Candidate must have the ability to understand requirements and develop solutions as well as ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and clients *Qualifications:* · Must poses a 4 year college degree, MS degree. CCNA preferred. · Must have 4 years of CDMA/EVDO, TCP/IP networks experience. · Must have two years of experience in airline industry.
