** *Position : datastage Developer * *Location: Raleigh, NC * *Duration: 6 months+* * * *Strong customer facing and communications skills are required. *** The ideal candidate will be a Database Developer with at least 7-10 years or more of applicable experience who can also help with some administration tasks as well. A combination of SQL Server and Oracle RAC skills is ideal, with the priority being more with SQL Server experience. Tasks:Some general database admin work, but job will be mostly: - Involvement in troubleshooting and locating performance issues within the database for the IEE application within the Itron performance lab, and at customer sites - Ensuring that Oracle is set up optimally - Reviewing test and production problems to understand whether the problem is database setup, queries, or other interactions - Working with developers to optimize queries, etc. - Ideally, able to step in and write, or optimize queries for scale - Oracle RAC experience would be of interest for some tasks -- Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
