*Title: Core Java – Back End Development * *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Duration: 12+Mts* *Rate: DOE* *Requirements:* • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in related discipline (Engineering, Computer Science,…) • 5+ years of Software Development experience • 3+ years of Core Java/J2EE software development experience • Solid experience in Server side development • Strong skills with object oriented design patterns, Java, web / service development • Experience working in Linux or UNIX environments • Ability to use shell scripting and regular expressions • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and debug • Excellent solving and analytic skills in resolving the technical challenges of the project and providing creative solutions • Hands-on experience with Restful and/or SOA Web Services • Agile environment; teams typically 8 -9 people; multi-project interaction • Experience with automated system testing tools and techniques (above Java code testing like JUnit or TestNG) • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills: verbal, written and listening *JD: * • Application/System Integration Experience (ideally in a set top box environment, or device/hardware environment) • Analytical problem solving mind-set (they will ask ‘scenario questions’ and see how the Developer problem solves) • Responsible for planning and designing and developing new software for support of on-TV applications deployed to millions of homes. • Create documentation of all development activity. • Analyzes, tests, and assists with the integration of new applications • Collaborates with other application developer and QA team members to identify and document technical requirements for operational and testing support. • Part of agile app dev. team.
