To reiterate, we are looking for the following: A demonstrated leader (like a tech lead type) that can lead a small group of staff who are charged with developing an automated testing and execution strategy that will be used to carry out a significant piece of the testing for the project. The solution needs to be robust and repeatable as we will be doing a large volume of testing. The individual will be responsible for optimizing our automation process and helping to make the analysis of the tests as automated as possible. The individual should have the following skills: 1. Strong Java Development and general technical skills; The system is complex enough that some customized tools are needed as well as third-party tools. Ability to look at a complex project end-to-end and to troubleshoot and recommend solutions within a complex system. 2. Creative problem solver both technically and from a process standpoint; Ability to recognize problems that need to be resolved and to creatively come up with solutions and set direction for others to carry out the solution. 3. Demonstrated Strong Collaboration Skills – Communication is key with this position. The individual will need to develop a strong alliance with the PM on this team to help outline what needs to be done, escalate issues, etc. This individual and the PM are responsible for driving results. The individual will also be collaborating with individuals on 3 other teams that make up the project and will need to drive the communication between teams. The automated test strategy covers the integration of software built across all 3 teams. 4. Demonstrated ability to lead a small dedicated team and to work cross functionally with other team members. A strong automation testing lead with java programming skills who has lead a group, been responsible for strategic testing direction, and who has worked in agile methodologies would be ideal. FIT experience is a plus.
