*Java .Net Developer* *Reston, VA* *Rate is at $45 Hr C2C* Designs, programs, tests and maintains software for client’s applications using Java/J2EE and .NET. Provides technical ownership in primary areas of competence, and task management and product support. Perform problem definition, requirements analysis and document the general design of systems. Develops increasing expertise in key software development and system implementation technologies. Understanding of relational databases; Oracle a plus Ability to apply experience with Java/J2EE design patterns to solve business issues. Knowledge of systems analysis and design (including Agile and Waterfall). Provide technical and end user support when required. Ability to multi-task by managing and communicating priorities and status to all appropriate audiences. Ability to work independently, taking ownership and responsibility for managing day to day tasks Required Skills:* Overall 4 - 6 years of experience in software systems development and programming Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience with Java/J2EE development. Minimum 1 year experience with .NET development. Working knowledge and demonstrated experience of common service implementation technologies such as SOAP and/or RESTful web services Experience with STRUTS Knowledge of Unit testing principles and tools (e.g. JUnit) Fundamentals of OO and computer science foundation principles. Experience with a variety of development languages (Java/J2EE, .NET, XML) Understanding of modern software engineering principles, practices, and systems development methodologies Familiar with database analysis, design, and programming with an understanding of related technologies and web services.
