Coordinating efforts of team members, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan is essential, as well as resolving issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, taking responsibility for the multiple disciplines in the IT function, where needed. Expectations around competencies, skills, and knowledge differ across the Project Manager levels as described below. In addition to managing all aspects of the project mentioned previously, this project manager is responsible for assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resource needs, and developing schedules to ensure timely completions of projects. *This particular role is around managing a suite of engagements/projects/initiatives relating to BI solutions. At any given time, there are 2-3 large efforts and 4-5 small efforts that need the constant rituals of: communication updates, expense/capital-reviews, meetings, deliverables-met, requirements-documented, milestones-established, SOWs-written, etc.* *We need a strong PM with some degree of BI background. We are not looking for a PM that’s only done traditional stovepipe application implementation projects.
