Hi, Hope you are doing well, Title: UI Developer Location: Bristol, CT Duration: 6+ Months This is an exciting role for a passionate sports fan with a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Editors, and sales staff to create and manage the industry’s best online sports experiences. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, product development, and sports. *Responsibilities:* • Hands-on coding primarily using server side scripting languages as well as JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, and CSS • Leads the technical development and management of multiple websites • Creates optimized technical solutions across multiple devices and screens, including desktops, tablets, both smart and feature phones, and connected televisions. • Identifies, defines, and executes architectural changes and works towards improving processes and tools to aid in developer productivity • Works with Product Managers, Designers, Editors, and Information Architects to define new product requirements, features, and functionalities • Authors specifications, technical design documents, and support/troubleshooting guides • Provides support and maintenance for deployed ESPN products and collaborates with external teams providing additional upkeep • Leads the technical analysis and evaluation of new technologies and product enhancements. • Works closely with Engineers and front-end Developers to identify areas requiring improvement, and helps to define and implement corresponding solutions. *Basic Qualifications:* • MUST HAVE 3 plus years of PHP and Javascript • 3+ years of work experience, preferably with a consumer-oriented company developing highly-scalable products. Digital Media experience a plus. • 3+ years of hands-on development experience in a professional environment, working with a structured programming language such as C/C++, Javascript, ASP, JSP, PHP, etc. • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals, multi-tier web architectures, and SQL. • Experience writing technical specs and driving them through development and launch • Expert level understanding of benefits and constraints of current Internet technologies, and expert level knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
