They will also work closely in a technical capacity with technical and program area staff in various areas to complete this project. The technical skills required for this position are outlined in the Beeline System. The position will be utilized between 37.5 and 40 hours per week for the duration of this project. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Electronic Health Record (EHR), Health Level 7 (HL-7), Birthdata Exchange Engine (BEE) and newborn hearing screening data systems, while not required, will be weighted heavily. This project will further enhance the current BEE First Sound module by continuing development on the tracking and early intervention components and modifying existing functions. The contractor will be responsible for coding, documenting and testing of the various components of BEE First Sound module. All code will be written in C#, ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET> and Javascript. All code will be properly documented using designated documentation standards. All data will be housed in a SQL Server database. The main emphasis of this position will be to ensure the First Sound BEE module is ready for HL7 submission and to make necessary changes to the system to achieve optimal performance and usability. The position will require extensive liaison with the Information Technology staff within the agency, and the First Sound data analyst.This scope of work consists of the following tasks:Task I: Converting the current Crystal Reports based reports to Microsoft Report Definition Language Client-side (RDLC); documenting and testing of the new RDLC components. Task II: Coding, documenting and testing a user interface to manage FSS follow-up contacts. Task III: Coding, documenting and testing of functionality to accept HL7 Version 2.6 Implementation Guide: Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Results Release 1 messages. This is needed to ensure the system is ready to accept data in HL7 format when hospitals are ready to start submitting.Task IV: Working with First Sound Staff to determine the best way to speed up the search features and prevent timing out errors when searching large parameters. Solutions could include but are not limited to automatically archiving old records and creating a UI for FS admin to search, report and un-archive records as needed. Code document and test the agreed upon solution.Task V: Resolve existing issues with the color coding of the stages of the Confirmed Hearing Loss process.Task VI: Determine a way for hospitals to select a practice if the primary care physician name is not known. Code, document and test the solution.Task VII: Resolve other minor documented bug fixesTask VIII: Add additional fields to existing tables and to the UITask IX: Merger of AdminDataEntry and Manual Entry fields into a single field.Task X: Add three(3) non-editable, system generated, display columns to the hospital queue: “Status”, “Transferred” and “Transferred From” REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):1.
