The successful candidate should have a *minimum of 5 of experience as a
designated project or program manager.*
*Scope of Work: *
· The candidate will manage two to three projects within the* Actuarial
IT area* and must be able to effectively communicate on both business
process and technical issues.
· Significant experience in the *data warehousing and reporting
space is required**.*
· The candidate's responsibilities include working with the business
users and senior IT resources to define scope and deliverables, drive
sizing of work efforts, defining tasks, dependencies
· The candidate will also work with resource managers to obtain
resources, make resource assignments and level resources.
· The candidate must demonstrate experience managing IT initiatives
through the entire SDLC, working effectively with technical resources as
well as senior management.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to this
position as the candidate will interact heavily with business and other IT
groups on an ongoing basis.
· The candidate will promote project management best practices and
coach team members in applying the skills, knowledge, and abilities
necessary for consistent delivery of quality project work.
· The candidate must demonstrate success leading large IT project
teams independently, with no day-to-day oversight from their supervisor.

•Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues
with peers and IT management
•Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints
•Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
•Ability to effectively communicate status, progress, and results to
management
•Must be able to partner with the business to ensure their expectations are
met and managed
•Very proficient in Project, and Visio
*Specific experience: *
•Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting projects
•Effective project initiation, scope of work development, cost estimation,
and establishment of detailed project baseline work breakdown structures
•Risk analysis and management
•Project execution, including negotiating change controls of schedules and
milestones
•Monitoring detailed schedules to assure project objectives are met and
work is performed within budget
•Coordinating the participation of responsible entities
•Development of lessons learned
