*Skills*: *Altiris 7.5 and someone who understand integration with McAfee,
DDP, and Active Directory. *
*Job Description :*
Duties would include but not be limited to:
- Help test patches in our DEV/TEST environments
- Ensure our test machines are configured to match our existing
production environment machines to ensure high confidence in our test
results
- Assist in ensuring that patch tests are completed without crashes.
- Assist our patch champions in patching and inform them of new
patches for testing.
- Help troubleshoot agent connectivity issues and software deployment
problems
- Understand a Push/Pull server/client relationship
- Technical knowledge of troubleshooting issues on Windows 7 &
Windows 8
- Technical knowledge of DNS/DHCP and TCP/IP technologies
- Modify push jobs and tasks
- Work directly with UC Davis Project Staff to modify install scripts
and update Altiris policies and jobs.
- Experience and understanding of scripts and scripting language
- Understanding of database (SQL) language
- Experience in technical documentation and knowledge base articles
write ups
- Work with UC Davis Staff to generate documentation for the new
Altiris standards and practices
- Work with UC Davis Staff to generate knowledge base articles for
the help desk.
- Experience working with a ticketing system and help desk support
- Experience with a ticketing system and familiarity with generating,
routing and closing of tickets.
- Experience working on and with help desk staff
- Experience packaging and deploying applications to identified
workstations
