Software Configuration Manager Denver, CO 6+ Months Contract Here is the updated job description *Notes:* · Looking for someone who has experience with MSBuild, ANT, Team City, familiarity with automating builds, good communication skills and must be detailed oriented and process focused · Needs to have Enterprise environment experience (working in small shops will not be a good fit) · Must have’s include: o Good system admin skills o Experience deploying things manually o Has to have some kind of scripting experience (MSBuild is preferred, but others are ANT, VBS, and PowerShell) o T-SQL is nice to have and almost a must have for this person to be successful in their role o 2-3 years of deployment experience o Has to be able to work independently (especially since this person will be working solo during the evening hours). o Good communication skills as this person will be interfacing with a lot of different team members located in different time zones *Team Dynamics:* · They had 3 mini teams last year that were combined together last April. They have 4 members in TN and 3 team members in CO. These two teams tend to work on their on little lanes of work, but Darren’s goal (he just took over this team a while ago), is to change this up and break down these walls and promote cross training. · There is a lot of drama in the team and he will be changing this as they need to mesh better. Any candidates we present must be strong enough to resist getting caught up in all the drama. *Software Configuration Engineer* We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic team player to perform *Software* *Configuration Management* (SCM) on our client’s SW Deployment Team. This position holds a wide range of responsibilities including build automation, release management, and deployments. The qualified candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced development environment and be able to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently. He/she will support and assist multiple development teams with source code management, build processes, configuration audits, metrics generation, and the delivery/release of the final products to multiple locations. Candidate must be available for after-hours as this shift will more than likely start mid afternoon and go through the evening hours as this is when a lot of the CM support is needed. Location is in Denver, CO. Contract term will go through the end of 2015 and may be extended into the new year if needed. *Responsibilities will include:* - Administration and maintenance of version control tools: Team Foundation Server, StarTeam - Support and enhance SCM processes and procedures needed to support the Software development teams. - Coordinate the creation of software branches for parallel development and the use of labels to identify formal builds. - Work with Project Management team to plan development of multiple projects in the source control tool and identify any risks or issues. - Supports configuration control by developing, interpreting, and implementing software configuration management procedures in accordance with company procedures and standards. - Perform builds and deployments to multiple environments. - Repair and recover from software deployment failures.
