*Ruby on Rails role* *Minneapolis, MN* *6+ Months Contract* *Position:* Senior Ruby on Rails *Job Description:* UI/ UX experience is required This person will work with a team of two other developers to build the user experience on their web site They’re working on the latest version of Ruby on Rails, DB Postgres SQL, using GitHub, Travis for continuous integration. Someone who has experience with AWS / RackSpace a plus (most will know AWS). Someone who has used RSpec to write test suites. UI/ UX experience with Ruby is the big thing – ideal candidate. This would be 6 months contract with likelihood to extend or even go fulltime – if they’re open to either and a good technical fit, Soft skills: · Bright, enjoys challenge, someone who can resolve issues but also propose solutions – improve efficiencies – IDEAL · Lots of room for growth here – can expand skills and knowledge · very open to ideas – highly encouraged · Ability to work on own as well as collaborate · Has two developers here in-house, need to be able to work with their vendors (two senior Ruby developers today, plus three India based Ruby developers) – need also to work with their vendors. · All automated testing through Rspec. · Looking to move in the direction of agile, but nowhere near there today.
