 Title: *Mainframe DB2/ADABAS Application/Systems Programmer *

 1 year + renewal contract

*Mainframe DB2/ADABAS Application/Systems Programmer 5+Years*


Position will be responsible for the coding, planning, design, and
implementation of standards, naming conventions, and ongoing support for
FLAIR Natural ADABAS environment, including high availability application.
Must have extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out
of DB2 and ADABAS components, Industry Tools and Utilities, Natural,
ADAPREP and related products. Must have complete familiarity with z/OS,
TSO/ISPF and IBM utilities and SMP/E. Position will provide technical
support for the current application. Additional desired skills are Oracle,
SQL, z/VM, Linux and MVS systems.

The scope of work to be performed by the Contractor includes the following:

·         Demonstrate requirements analysis and development

·         Code computer programs

·         Perform logical design development

·         Physical design and unit test

·         Conduct system testing and User Acceptance Testing

·         Develop documentation

·         System implementation

·         Business process analysis and improvement

·         Data conversion and migration

·         Integration Services



*Candidate Characteristics:*
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills

·         Document business and technical requirements for approval by the
Department

·         Produce fully tested and commented application code implemented
in the production environment

·         Develop tests to ensure the system meets requirements

·         Test Files and Data

·         Test Problem and Resolution Report

·         Provide application and technical documentation as required by
Customer

·         Transfer of knowledge to Customer’s staff regarding the systems
referenced in the Scope of Work, including technical knowledge related to
the systems separation process, determined to be acceptable by the Customer

·         Develop, document and deliver Technical Design Documents
according to Customer Application Development standards after receiving and
analyzing User Requirements Documents

·         Develop, document and deliver unit tested programs and utilities
that perform according to specifications in the Technical Design Documents

·         Develop, document and deliver unit tested programs according to
Application Development standards

·         Develop, document and deliver unit tested programs within a
timeframe and with a quality of workmanship deemed acceptable to the
Project Manager or his/her designee

Demonstrated development skills in Natural Programming Language - 5+ years
required



Thorough understanding of technologies and tools used for the FLAIR
applications:    Experience with Natural/ADABAS utilities, z/OS, IBM
Utilities, DB2 Utilities, TSO/ISPF/Clist/REXX



Demonstrated experience with application specific technical skills in JCL
and DB2 - 5+ years required



Demonstrated experience performing system analysis, troubleshooting, and
testing - 5+ years required



Demonstrated experience providing software testing documentation - 5+ years
required



Creating and maintaining documentation (e.g., system, program, and user,
technical)



Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with technical
and user staff
