Title: Data/SQL Analyst Location: Tallahassee, FL 1 year + renewal contract 2 openings
Seeking a database analyst with the following minimum qualifications (must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks): ■ Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in related field preferred. ■ 5+ years experience designing, developing, testing and debugging reporting applications and business intelligence using the technology stacks listed above. ■ 5+ years experience testing and developing custom applications (C# .NET). ■ Develop SQL/Lync queries to extract complex datasets and metrics from multiple databases/datastores. ■ Utilize business intelligence tools to build and support dashboards. ■ Work with various stakeholders and team members to understand requirements, understand data needs and resolve issues. ■ Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures. ■ Maintain and optimize existing queries and reports. ■ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel required. ■ Excellent verbal and writing skills and able to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences. ■ Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish good working relationships with team members, agency representatives, external representatives and vendor staff. ■ Able to work independently, to work against a plan, to meet deadlines, to follow procedures and to produce deliverables. ■ Excellent active listening skills. ■ Able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. ■ Able to establish and maintain strong working relationships. ■ Problem solving and root cause identification skills. ■ Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. The database analyst will be responsible for the following: ■ Reviewing vendor queries and scripts for introduction and validation of the current database report structure. ■ Developing the reporting requirements of the FNW data sources. ■ Validating business requirements are delivered in the final solution. ■ Facilitating communications between the Department and the application vendor regarding technical structure of the projects. ■ Testing and troubleshooting issues with the reports; coordinating resolution of issues with the vendor and the Department’s subject matter and technical resources. ■ Transferring technical knowledge of the reporting solutions to Department technical staff.
