*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * *Job Title: Business Objects DeveloperLocation: Lansing, MIDuration: 12 MonthsDirect Client PositionClient: State of MIThe resource selected for this contract is a Technical Consultant for the development and maintenance of Business Objects for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). 1. Work with business users, project team to understand the application and reporting requirements 2. Design BO universes to accommodate complex business reporting requirements for desktop and web intelligence and XCelsius reporting 3. Architecture the business requirements and processes and build universes using complex BO features and design 4. Create derived tables as needed to resolve complex reporting issues 5. Develop and tune the PL/SQL queries to improve BO reports performance 6. Develop and implement aggregate aware function and @ variables 7. Develop Deski and Webi reports using cross table, drill down, prompts, dimensional and other BO features 8. Provide production support for existing BO universes and reports. 9. Redesign and Modify existing universes to accommodate the business reporting needs in maintenance 10. Help convert the existing Deski reports to Webi using reporting tool and resolve any errors 11. Coordinate UAT testing of the BO reports with users and technical team 12. Coordinate the BO universe and reports releases to QA and production environment 13. Create user accounts using Infoview admin module and assign roles for user access to reports 14. Develop security features users, groups and folders for the BO project needs 15. Create canned adhoc and dashboard reports using BO universe 16. Experience in creating logical and physical data models 17. Experience writing PL/SQL queries, stored procedure, packages, function and triggers 18. Experience with new and existing project development using agile methodologies. Skills Required Experience architecting Business Objects Universes. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL queries to improve BO reports performance Experience participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices. Experience with Agile development methods and practices. Experience upgrading deski to Webi universe. Experience Required Technology Consultant Understands the strategic direction of enterprise and the supporting IT systems and architectures. Maintains knowledge of emerging technological trends and utilizes this knowledge to educate both IT and the business of opportunities to build better IT solutions that support and drive business decisions. Assists in the definition of the architecture and technology needs of the organization based on new and emerging technologies, and establishes priorities and strategies consistent with business goals and economic viability. Establishes foundation architecture for organization to standardize on hardware and software usage. Serves as a consultant and advisor to senior IT leadership on advanced technologies and evaluates the business impact through cost/benefit analysis. Recommends and incorporates technology with long-term business plans. Transfers knowledge of key learnings throughout the enterprise, and establishes and communicates strategic and technological plans. This position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and requires 7 to 10 years of IT work experience.
