*Position : SAMPLEMANAGER Support Analyst * *Location: Houston, TX* *Length: 1 year* *Rate: $60/hr* Successful candidate will provide backfill and critical care for Global LIMS / Samplemanager support function. Candidate must have 10 years or more experience with Thermo Fisher Samplemanager software and extensive experience with Samplemanager software, strong VGL software experience (VGL is proprietary software language.) Experience with existing Shell Samplemanager implementations highly desirable. Candidate may also work on project related activities such as ISP infrastructure and application migration and or Samplemanager implementations in the Americas. Candidate will provide help to end-user queries, trouble-shoot incidents, work with high severity incidents to immediately restore service, diligently work to find root cause of incidents, work with other support organizations as needed (e.g. dba, infrastructure, support desk, etc.), debug VGL code, enhance VGL code when necessary, assist in business requirements, design and development of small discretionary requests as needed. Familiarity with Incident, Problem, and Change functions ITIL processes.
